She has adorned your television screens with her confident demeanor, perfect English, professional presentation, and news reading skills, and she still has the ability to fire up your gaze and pricked ears. We are referring to GTV's Akushika Acquaye. 

A TV News Anchor and Presenter par excellence whose enthusiasm makes her heart skip a beat when she sees today's new presenters making mistakes and taking for granted a job she has dedicated her entire life to mastering.

 Her presentation style is never complete without some skilled and precisely timed ad-libbing, which she claims she swiftly comes up with while on set. She almost always has a quick comment to make on every topic she reads on the news.

 The Newsroom studio to read the News at 7 in the evening. That is the true definition of hard work, dedication, and consistency. She did it all with happiness and passion. 

On the Breakfast Show in the 1990s, she was almost always paired with another great presenter called Earl Ankrah and the two made us all fantasize about them being a couple just by the way they “jelled” together on screen.

Her career on the screens started in the 1980s and she is still serving her time at GTV where she is currently the Head of the News Channel of GTV, GBC News. She is also a Broadcast Trainer, Media Consultant and a mentor to many young broadcasters, especially females.

She appears cool and collected on the outside and is really cheerful, down to earth, and a terrific listener, yet she never sacrifices professionalism for fun or jokes. She is dedicated to greatness and will push you to the limit to give it your all. Finally, her dressing style on set is consistent with her off-set appearance. Very modest and never exposes her legs. Always dressed in long skirts and with impeccable manners. A role model by all accounts.
